YPP Refutes Collaboration with PDP in the Forthcoming Ondo Governorship Election, Says Party Not For Sale.

ENDORSEMENT OF EYITAYO JEGEDE: YPP IS NOT FOR SALE
Our attention has been drawn to news making the rounds that the Young Progressives Party through an ill-conceived press statement by a band of dealers claiming the party’s endorsement of the candidate of the PDP, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede in the forthcoming Ondo State gubernatorial election scheduled to hold on October 10, 2020.
May we state unequivocally that there is no iota of truth in this fake news as the party was never at any point in time in negotiation or agreement to endorse or forge an alliance with the candidate of the PDP, his representatives, or the 10 unambitious political parties.
Furthermore, the name of the incumbent State Chairman of the YPP in Ondo State is Mr. Moses Bali and we implore the good people of Ondo State to discountenance the activities of an imposter by the name Dr. Olasupo Oladele claiming to be the State Chairman of the party and embarking on actions capable of bringing the name of the party to disrepute.
The Young Progressives Party dissociate itself from the charade erroneously feasted upon by the media and will be taking necessary steps within the ambit of the law to bring to justice all those directly or remotely involved in not only impersonating the leadership of
the party but also deceiving members of the public into believing a false narrative.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Young Progressives Party is not for sale and neither has the party’s position on the PDP and APC changed nor will be changing anytime soon as we believe that both are responsible for our past and should not be trusted to rebuild the future we seek.
The Young Progressives Party will be participating in the election and our highly cerebral, visionary, and young candidate in the person of Mr. Dotun Ojon is still very much in the race. We encourage all our supporters in Ondo State to remain resolute, focused, and above all, rise above the shenanigans of a selfish few who are comfortable with the status quo.
