The Labour Union are to Suspend the Nationwide planned Strike Action today, while the Federal Government are to suspend the Hike in Electricity Tariff for 2 weeks.

However, it was agreed that the current fuel price should remain as government is determined to go ahead with Subsidy removal and deregulation of the sector. To cushion the effect of the increase in petrol pump price, government has agreed to roll-out palliatives to labour within the next 2 weeks

Meanwhile the Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, has been tasked to set-up a committee to look at the conflicting Field reports that suggested the Hike in electricity.
