The Executives of the AbiaPoly Student Union Government (SUG), led by their President, Comrade Onyema Hope Chiadikaobi, paid a Condolence Visit to Nyerere Anyim, to Commiserate with him on the death of his Father, Late Elder Herbert Anyanwu Anyim, at his Agburuike-Isiugwu Country-home.
In his Condolence message; the SUG President,Comrade Hope Onyema, prayed God to grant Nyerere and the entire Anyim dynasty the fortitude to bear their Loss.
The SUG executives, also went on to eulogize Nyerere on his immense contribution to Youth Development, especially in the Area of Sports through the annual Divine Agenda Unity Cup, regularly hosted by Nyerere to promote Youth talent in the Area of Sports. And his consistent Rural Road Rehabilitation in the state.
The Student Executives went on to inform him of their plan to specially host a Football league in honour of his contributions in the Area of Sports & Youth Development in the State.
Nyerere in turn accepted their plan as a good gesture, and requested that they submit a formal proposal to that effect as he promised to support the initiative.
He thanked the Student body for Commiserating with him and his family, and admonished them to effectively represent the Youth Constituency positively and be the leaders of today and not the one of tomorrow that seem never to come. He further encouraged them to get involved in Dynamic Sensitization on education empowerment as the key to lifting many youths out of poverty in the state.
